by Dr. Andy Frank, Efficient Drivetrains, Inc. and UC-Davis

·         Renowned as the father of today’s plug-in hybrids, Dr. Andy Frank and his students, over the past 15 years, have built more than ten different plug-in hybrids, ranging from sport cars to full-sized SUVs.  Many of his students at U. C. Davis are reputed to be among the brightest minds in automotive design and transportation management. He is the subject of myriad books, articles, and newscasts and has traveled the world sharing his expertise and unwavering vision of PHEVs and their potential to free us from our dependence on fossil fuels for propulsion.   He continues to innovate, teach, and inspire audiences to visualize creative and synergistic solutions to today’s energy and transportation challenges.  In this presentation, Prof. Frank will reflect on the current developments in vehicle electrification and related technologies and The Road Ahead.
